Vision is a new weekly brought to you by State-Side
Productions and DC's own Object-Oriented Bliss, dedicated
to the future sounds of breakbeat and house.
Each week the focus alternates from
breakbeat to house in the main room, and the opposing
sound for the week in the side room. Vision happens
every Friday at Up! Nightclub. The breaks are pumping
week in, week out with resident DJs THE FUZZ (Switchstance
& Adegen, www.00bliss.com). Up! is made of up 2
rooms with juicy, beefy sound systems and the 5,000

in comfort.

| Virus Portland |
| Portland's only breakbeat
weekly brings all styles of broken flavor every Tuesday night
at Conan's Pub in culturally rich Southeast Portland.
July 2002 marked the tenth of Viral Infection
of the Portland scene. The 23rd saw a Northwest international
favorite, DJ Rasp from Brisbane, Australia dropping his funky
selections for the second time around. Portland breakbeat
staple Electrokid got the night started off right with a breakstep
and UK garage laced set. Following Rasp's set, Professor Roo
kept the heads bouncing 'til close with a bass-heavy nu-skool
set.
With the West Coast break scene on the
rise, Portland looks to represent the breakbeat flavor with
a wealth of local talent pushing the freshest styles. |

| Breakthru San
Francisco |
| San Francisco is known for
pushing the breaks scene, but in an effort to push it even
further Allan Aguas (A:Dubl) has started a new monthly party
called Breakthru.

Breakthru takes place in the bassment at
the legendary club 1015 Folsom which has hosted all the biggest
dj's to date. The residents are Andres Octavio and A:Dubl
, and they will be playing all style of breaks, and even some
house / jungle / drum & bass in their sets. |
The bassment has a pounding
sound system; two walls with bassbins stacked to the ceiling
that will rattle your lungs and highs that are nice and sharp.
Furnished with plush seats and lit tables, it's great for
those who want to lay back and enjoy the music over drinks.
For those who want to groove, there's plenty of space on the
floor for the breakers and shakers to move something.
Breakthru takes place every fourth friday
starting in January 2002. Future guests include Felix the
Dog, Ms.E, and a host of UK talent tba. Come celebrate with
us as Ten15 opens up it's doors to the sound of breakbeat!
