Within a week of winning the dance category of the prestigious Grote Prijs van Nederland award in 1999 (see photo on the right), the Longplayers were already playing support for Leftfield on national Dutch radio!

In the past few years, the lads have performed at venues and festivals all over Holland. The Rotterdam area crew have played live at top clubs like the Paradiso and Melkweg as well as major Dutch dance events like the Dance Valley festival and the Fast Forward dance parade.

The Longplayers started off as a duo - producer Trigg and deejay Le Tyer. Vocalist Hilk One and live drummer Mathijs Beukema have since joined their ranks. The fab foursome are usually pegged as a breakbeat crew but also produce drum 'n' bass, downtempo breakbeats, techno and other styles of dance music. They are still unsigned.
