[Feb 2000] "I'm a remix whore!" Rennie Pilgrem revealed when we caught up with him in London this month for an exclusive interview. Commanding huge amounts of respect in the UK as a breakbeat producer and deejay, Rennie put out a constant stream of wicked singles and remixes, and also runs the influential record label Thursday Club Recordings, which DJ Magazine named the top independent beats label of 1999. TCR this month released the debut album from Waveform, Waveforms, and also launched their own Web site. Next month, Pilgrem finally releases his debut album, Selected Works. He is out now with a new single, "Some Place Funky". He also teamed up recently with famous Californian electro producer Uberzone on the track "House of Funk" which will be out in May.
