Pete
Horsham aka Kraymon
has always stood out like a sore
thumb from the gross of unsigned
breakbeat artists struggling for
attention on sites like MP3.com.
His tunes are simply in a
different class
altogether.
So
it's no wonder that in October
2000, Kraymon was named overall
music winner at the first
Getoutthere Live Awards. His 'O2'
was named best techno/drum 'n'
bass track. Getoutthere.bt.com is
a popular UK-based unsigned
artists' site featuring celebrity
judges like the
Freestylers
and MJ
Cole.
Incredibly,
Kraymon is still unsigned. He
finally made his debut on vinyl
this month with an absolutely
blinding remix of
Bomb
Jack's
"Mars Needs Women" on
London-based Freakaboom
Records.
"Rhythmical
electro-breakbeat-4/4 phatness is
what Kraymon is all about," the
artist explains.
Kraymon
has been making music for some 7
years now. His daytime job is at
multimedia company Matinee. He
wrote the soundtrack for the
Matinee.co.uk site, and his music
also appears on the Playstation
driving game Vanishing
Point.
